Every person heals differently. This is a general guide, so follow your provider's aftercare instructions.
Day-by-Day Recovery (Higher-Intensity Treatment)
Day 0: Treatment day
Your skin will feel warm, look red and may feel like a sunburn. Some swelling, especially around the eyes, is normal.
Days 1–2: Swelling and darkening
Swelling may peak. Your skin will start to look darker or bronzed. That's the treated skin acting as a natural protective dressing.
Days 3–5: Peeling begins
The darkened skin begins to flake and peel, often starting around the mouth and nose. Don't pick or peel it. Let it shed naturally.
Days 5–7: Fresh skin appears
Peeling finishes for most people, revealing pink, fresh new skin. Pinkness gradually fades.
Weeks 2–4: Glow
Skin looks smoother and brighter. Many clients feel comfortable with makeup again once peeling is done.
Months 1–6 and beyond: Collagen builds

What About Lighter Treatments?

- Don't pick or peel
